Global Stainless Supply, a major manufacturer of stainless steel pipe and fittings, has requested that Baker Communications deliver a customized Exceptional Management Skills workshop for their supervisory staff. GSS was seeking a management training program that could be customized to meet their specific needs. Baker Communications was able to provide a customized, client-specific version of their Exceptional Management Skills seminar to meet the needs of the Global Stainless management team.
An Exceptional Management Skills Expert and Baker Communications Senior Level Instructor will meet with GSS managers and supervisors in Houston, Texas to deliver the training workshop. During this highly interactive leadership and management training event, participants will learn about vital strategies such as delegation and performance evaluation, leading to improved planning, increased efficiency, and more effective feedback processes. Participants in the seminar will also learn techniques for keeping employees motivated, handling conflict, and dealing with difficult individuals, helping their teams and the company function more productively.

In September, 2006, only four years after its beginning, GSS relied upon SCOA resources to acquire the assets of Forgings, Flanges, and Fittings Inc. PVF master distributor had traditionally been segregated between carbon steel and stainless steel. GSS considered the potential of a true “one stop shop” as a significant step forward in adding value to the supply chain.
